Quick Lemon Herb Chicken with Crispy Fries
Thermomix recipe: Quick Lemon Herb Chicken with Crispy Fries. Ready in 30 minutes. Serves 4. Step-by-step Thermomix instructions on Chef Amai.
Ingredients
- 600-800 g frozen oven fries
- 500 g chicken breast, cut into 1.5-2 cm strips
- 2 cloves garlic
- 20 g olive oil
- 30 g lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Spread the frozen oven fries evenly on a baking tray and bake according to package instructions, usually 20-25 minutes, while you prepare the chicken.
- Cut the chicken breast into uniform 1.5-2 cm thick strips. Set aside.
- Add garlic cloves to the clean, dry Thermomix bowl. Chop 3 sec / Speed 7. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula.
- Add 20 g olive oil to the bowl. Sauté 3 min / 120°C / Speed 1.
- Add the chicken strips, 30 g lemon juice, 1 tsp dried oregano, ½ tsp dried thyme, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper to the bowl. Cook 10-12 min / 100°C / Reverse / Speed 1. For even cooking, pause after 5 minutes, scrape down the sides of the bowl, and ensure the chicken strips are moving freely.
- Once cooked, stir gently for 1 min / 90°C / Reverse / Speed 1 to ensure even distribution and prevent any sticking to the bottom of the bowl.
- Serve the warm lemon herb chicken immediately with the crispy oven fries. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
