Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Place onion and garlic into the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec / Speed 5. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  2. Add 20 g olive oil. Sauté 5 min / 120°C / Speed 1. For chunky vegetables, use Reverse mode.
  3. Add 400 g crushed tomatoes, 30 g tomato paste, 200 g vegetable stock, 1 tsp dried oregano, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper to the mixing bowl. Mix 10 sec / Speed 3.
  4. Cook the sauce 10 min / 98°C / Speed 2 (Reverse). Remove the measuring cup and place the simmering basket on the lid to prevent splatter and allow for some evaporation.
  5. Pause the machine, scrape down the sides and bottom of the mixing bowl with the spatula. Check the consistency and adjust liquid if needed. Add 450 g frozen beef meatballs to the sauce.
  6. Continue to cook 10-12 min / 98°C / Speed 2 (Reverse), or until meatballs are heated through and cooked. Maintain the simmering basket on the lid.
  7. While the sauce and meatballs are cooking, prepare your preferred pasta according to package instructions in a separate pot.
  8. Last 1-2 min: 90°C / Speed 1-2 (Reverse) to settle the sauce and prevent sticking.
  9. Serve the hearty beef meatball sauce over the cooked pasta. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
