Ingredients
- 200 g plain biscuits (e.g., digestive, rich tea)
- 150 g unsalted butter, softened
- 100 g powdered sugar (icing sugar)
- 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 100 g condensed milk
- 50 g chopped nuts (optional, e.g., almonds, walnuts)
- 1 tbsp rum or coffee liqueur (optional)
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Place 200 g plain biscuits in the Thermomix bowl. Crush 5 sec / Speed 5. Transfer the crushed biscuits to a large bowl and set aside.
- Add 150 g softened unsalted butter, 100 g powdered sugar, 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder, and 100 g condensed milk to the Thermomix bowl. Mix 30 sec / Speed 4 until well combined and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula.
- Add the crushed biscuits back into the Thermomix bowl with the creamy mixture. If using, add 50 g chopped nuts and 1 tbsp rum or coffee liqueur. Mix 20 sec / Speed 3 / Reverse until just combined. Use the spatula to help incorporate the ingredients if needed.
- Transfer the mixture onto a large piece of cling film or baking paper. Shape it into a log, approximately 20-25 cm long and 5-6 cm in diameter.
- Wrap the log tightly in the cling film or baking paper, twisting the ends to seal. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until firm.
- Before serving, unwrap the chocolate salami. Optionally, dust generously with extra powdered sugar. Slice into 1-2 cm thick rounds and serve.
