Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Thermomix recipe: Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies. Ready in 35 minutes. Serves 5. Step-by-step Thermomix instructions on Chef Amai.
Ingredients
- 120 g unsalted butter, softened
- 100 g light brown sugar
- 80 g granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 180 g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Insert the butterfly whisk. Add 120 g softened unsalted butter, 100 g light brown sugar, and 80 g granulated sugar to the Thermomix bowl. Cream 2 min / Speed 3.5.
- Remove the butterfly whisk. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula. Add 1 large egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix 30 sec / Speed 4.
- Add 200 g all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and 1/4 tsp salt to the bowl. Mix 20 sec / Speed 3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
- Add 180 g chocolate chips. Mix 10 sec / Speed 2 / Reverse to incorporate without breaking the chips too much.
- Remove the dough from the bowl and, if time permits, chill for 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator. This helps prevent spreading.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
